About The Author

Fred McClendon

Frederick McClendon is a narrator by nature. He grew up in Brooklyn, and his family and memories weigh every word. “The Bottle, The Bloodline, The War,” his first novel, brings the reader on a crazy ride through magic and the inner bonds of identity. It’s gut-wrenching, factual, and is born in a truthful place.

He spends his time on the couch daydreaming about new worlds or being immersed in ancient symbols when he is not writing. He is in love with the turmoil of life with his wife, Alexia. The two of them make their way through the good and bad times. His family is all to him; there he can get time. All his tales are based on that connection, the untidy, convoluted love that makes us what we are. McClendon is a believer in the strength of stories to heal and connect, and it is his time to share that story.
